The Green is a hillside garden overlooking the River Wye, created by Lorna and Patrick Vaughan. A courtyard, parterre, and potager lead to a wildflower-rich orchard terrace. Mown paths weave through ox-eye daisies, campion and geraniums, opening into parkland with a quiet walk down to a secluded pond.

Once a sheep field, the Walled Garden at Blackbrook is now a richly planted, terraced space with borders, yew hedges and restored greenhouses full of fruit trees. Owners grow everything from seed or cuttings. Their garden school, Growing in the Border, offers practical, hands-on courses for real-world gardening.
