Over the past 18 years Paula & Steven Routledge have developed their gardens into a peaceful haven for visitors to relax, be inspired and enjoy a variety of garden areas. With over 30 years in the horticultural industry you are sure to find a garden full of hortic treasures.

Set in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside this five-acre site is split into different rooms for you to explore. The main garden hosts an array of herbaceous borders, garden sculptures, a rockery and seating areas.

Leading off this main garden you will find Paula’s beautiful cutting gardens where as a NAFAS Area demonstrator, Chelsea Flower show medallist and Florist, she is constantly growing stems to feed this passion. Paula is also a regular gardening broadcaster on BBC radio Nottingham and enjoys sharing cultural tips and answering questions live on air.

Steven’s passion in the garden is to provide his kitchen with as much home grown produce as possible. As the resident chef all for events the vegetable plots are vital part of Floral Media. Another of Stevens passions is the main lawn which hosts perfect straight lines at all times!

Following on from the vegetable plots you will find a wonderful wildflower meadow which is a buzz of activity for our amazing pollinators and beneficial predators. Other points of interest include an unusual wildlife hide made from an upcycled farm corn silo, a small oriental garden which boasts an array of Japanese Maples, Pines and Bamboos and a traditional cottage garden with a small orchard. On the guided tour you will hear about the history of this 200-year-old property and the cottage industry that ran here.

After the tour you are welcome to visit our small plant sales area which mostly hosts plants propagated by Steven & Paula from the gardens.
