Iford Manor
Wiltshire, BA15 2BA
Wednesday 6th July 2022, 11.00 - 3.00pm
Garden tour and lunch
The day will begin with refreshments and homemade cakes, followed by a guided tour of Iford Manor’s Grade 1 listed garden, with William Cartwright Hignett the owner of the estate.
The garden sits in the last hill of the Cotswolds and boasts beautiful rural views across an un-spoilt valley. The garden combines a peaceful and romantic design, with ancient Roman, Oriental and Classical sculpture. The structural design seen today was largely created by Harold Peto who incorporated these designs to create a balance between soft planting and hard structure.
The Cartwright-Hignett family, have spent the past 50 years lovingly restoring the gardens that were once believed to have been lost after WW2.
A two-course lunch will be served in the restaurant.
